Well another day in sports has come and gone, but the anticipations of the future are now present. The Los Angeles Lakers are now 1-5 against teams that are contenders for the NBA Finals. That means they have shown up to really play the game every one of six games. While most of these wins have been at home, they're losses are causing them to lose their number one spot of being the best team there is out there.
Today it seems that Boston and Miami are on their way to the top, but the team to really keep on eye on is San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs are on their way to breaking the Chicago Bulls record of 72-10. Although a major goal to strive for, with the right effort and manpower, this team could be the next team to wear those big Championship Rings.
Yes, I am one of the biggest Los Angeles Lakers fans you're ever going to find, but even I have to admit that it would be a sweet site to see the Spurs make it to the Championship. (Almost as sweet as staying at the Plaza in New York City or Gambling a couple $100's away in Las Vegas!) To my Lakers, all I can say today is, "Pull your stuff together!"
Don't think I'm not getting down on my knees every night and shooting a Prayer up to the Big Guy for Kobe and his guys. In fact I'm just gonna start getting the whole family to include my team in all their prayers. Every word sent up to heaven counts, right? Heck, if my Attorney and Insurance agents prayed, I'd get them to start shedding a couple of tears and burning a couple of holes in their pants for my Lakers.
See what's going down tonight

If this is where "Amazing Happens," I hope we see AMAZING tonight!!
What's going to happen tonight? Well, if we know anything, we all know what happens when Boston visits Sacramento, and Garnett, Peirce, and Allen march in with looks of destruction on their face. Kings have no chance of stopping the Number One Contender in the East. I predict the game will run 115-90 with Boston wiping the floor with Sacramento.
The Spurs are coming to Portland to show everyone at the Rose Garden why they are the best in the West and overall. The Spurs have found their new life in Tony Parker and Tim Duncan. Those two are just what the Spurs need to keep the winning streak going. And the Blazers? Well, I guess I'm glad to see them creep their way back up winning ladder. The recent injuries they've suffered has definitely made many Blazer fans question their loyalties. My guess is this game isn't going to help. Not really much to say about the blazers other than they are slowly coming back but they are slow because of their injuries.
My all time favorite back-to-back, 15-time-ring-wearing, electrifying, in-your-face-dunking, Los Angeles Lakers will be playing against the ever meaningless Rockets tonight. Crossing my fingers on that one! Lakers have had a hard time winning their home games lately. For some reason, when Kobe scores over 40 pts, the team loses. My hope is the Rockets can keep Kobe in the 20's and force him to pass the ball. We definitely need Kobe to be passer on this game. No doubt the Rockets will be coming in cocky, ready to take the game, but my Lakers have the Black Momba on their side, and he's ready to strike when you least expect it. I predict my boys will win this game around 105-97.
